About YOGIS HERBS

Ten years of taking Tamil Nadu’s herbs
to the rest of the world.

We are a herbal manufacturer and exporter based in Pollachi, at the foothills of the Western Ghats. Since 2015 we have supplied traditional South Indian botanicals — in bulk and in finished form — to buyers across the US, UK, Europe, the Gulf and Asia-Pacific.

It started with a naming decision

In 2015, if you wanted to sell a Tamil herb abroad, the accepted wisdom was to translate it into something a foreign buyer would recognise. Arugampul became “Bermuda grass powder”. Kadukkai became “haritaki”, borrowed from another language entirely. The herb travelled; the name it grew up with did not.

We were among the first to list these herbs internationally under their own Tamil names — and to explain what each one was, rather than renaming it into something more familiar. It made the first few years harder. It also meant that when buyers went looking for the real thing, they found us.

A decade on, that decision shapes how we work. We tell buyers exactly which plant is in the pack, where in the district it came from, and how it was dried and milled. Nothing is mysterious, and nothing needs to be taken on faith.

“The herb travelled. We thought its name should travel with it.”

Why our packs and specification sheets carry the Tamil name first, and the botanical name beside it.

The names we kept

Every herb we supply is identified by its Tamil name and its botanical name, so your formulator and your regulator are looking at the same plant.

Arugampul

Cynodon dactylon

Bermuda grass. One of our most requested export lines.

Nilavembu

Andrographis paniculata

Known elsewhere as kalmegh or king of bitters.

Vallarai

Centella asiatica

Sold internationally as gotu kola.

Keezhanelli

Phyllanthus niruri

The stonebreaker of Siddha tradition.

Kadukkai

Terminalia chebula

Better known to formulators as haritaki.

Avarampoo

Senna auriculata

The flower, dried whole and milled fine.

Mudakathan

Cardiospermum halicacabum

Balloon vine. A staple of Tamil household cooking.

Pirandai

Cissus quadrangularis

Adamant creeper, harvested from the drier tracts.

This is a sample, not the catalogue. We hold a considerably wider range, and we source to requirement — if you need a Tamil botanical you cannot find elsewhere, ask us before assuming it is unavailable.

The details buyers ask for first

Everything a procurement team usually needs before the first call. If something is missing here, write to us and we will answer it directly.

A decade, in four steps

2015

First international shipments

YOGIS HERBS begins exporting Tamil botanicals under their own names — among the first to do so.

2023

Our own manufacturing

Production moves in-house at our Pollachi facility, giving us control over drying, milling and packing.

2024

Certified and audited

GMP, ISO 22000 and FSSAI Central Licence, bringing the facility in line with what international buyers expect.

2026

A dedicated wholesale arm

Retail moves to its own store, and this site becomes our home for trade, bulk and private label.

One facility, two labels

Both are made at the same Pollachi facility, to the same standards. The difference is what each one is built for.

YOGIS HERBS

Herbs & botanicals

Our founding label. Single-ingredient herbal powders, TBC, capsules and infusions drawn from Siddha and Ayurvedic tradition — supplied in bulk to formulators, or finished and ready for your shelf.

FounditGood

Food & health supplements

Our manufacturing label for food products and health supplements, produced at the same Pollachi facility. Where a project needs formulation rather than a single herb, this is usually where it is made.

Where to find us now

Two doors, same house

For ten years this site served everyone — a family ordering a single pack and a distributor ordering a pallet, through the same checkout. Both deserved better than a compromise.

So our retail range has moved to www.yogisherbs.com, built for customers buying for themselves, with the full range and easy ordering. This site is now our wholesale home — bulk quantities, private label, custom formulations and long-term supply.

Same herbs, same people, same soil. Just the right door for what you came for.
